Lewis Hamilton: “If I was not involved with Formula 1, I would have to try somewhere with the bikes”

Lewis Hamilton has admitted that he would like o race in MotoGP because of his passion for motorbikes. "I've always been passionate about motorcycles since I was a kid, not everyone knows it, but I've always liked the two wheels in addition to cars,” Hamilton told Sky Italia. “I had a cross bike when I was young, I trained with bikes in 2017 and 2018 and I had a lot of fun, but I was not so fast. In any case, if I was not involved with Formula 1, I would have to try somewhere with the bikes. To switch to the bike? I think about it, but it's very difficult.” “Now I'm too old to change, there would be a too big gap from the current MotoGP riders," he added. "I think about it, but it's very different, even a lot harder. I tried the go-kart when I was eight, while these guys got on the two wheels at eight. I would be in trouble and then I'm too old to change, but it's something I think about in my spare time.” Hamilton is hopeful he will get to ride with Rossi in the future. “For years I've been talking with Vale on the hypothesis of going to the Ranch, even just to look in,” he said. “Surely I'll ride a MotoGP bike on some occasion. Being on the same track with Valentino on the bike would be crazy because I'm a huge fan of him, a real honour, but it should teach me everything.”
