Lewis Bate included in Chelsea squad for FA Cup game against Barnsley

Chelsea are preparing to face Barnsley in the FA Cup 5th round on Thrusday, February 11. Ahead of the game. The Blues manager Thomas Tuchel has included 18-year-old Lewis Bate in Chelsea’s squad. Bate has been training with the Blues’s first-team squad this week however he has yet to make his seniot debut. Playing for Chelsea U23s, the 18-year-old central midfielder has made 14 appearances in which he has scored one goal. Tino Anjorin has also been added to Tuchel’s squad. The 19-year-old has scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in his 9 appearances. Billy Gilmour, N’Golo Kante and Hakim Ziyech are all expected to start, meanwhile, Tuchel has confirmed that Kepa Arrizabalaga will start against Barnsley. "This is an opportunity and hopefully he does not want to overachieve," said Tuchel. "I want him to play a normal match. He does not have to show me or anybody else that he is ready to be Spain’s No 1." Thiago Silva, Timo Werner will miss the trip to Barnsley. Kai Havertz is also not expected to feature.
