According to Telegraph's Chris Bascombe (via Anfield Edition), Wijnaldum has made it clear that he would like to stay at Liverpool, after he has been linked with a move to La Liga side Barcelona. It is stated that the Reds player is hoping to sign a new long-term contract as he is entering the final year of his contract at Premier League side, but talks stalled a year ago and there is no indication they will be renewed.
