Leicester City have been handed major injury blow ahead of final Premier League clash against Tottenham.
Defender Jonny Evans’ season looks to be over with the Foxes star highly unlikely to feature this Sunday.
He was left out of the side that lost 2-1 to Chelsea on Tuesday night, but while previously Brendan Rodgers had suggested there was a chance he may be fit for the finale of the campaign at the King Power Stadium, the Foxes boss has now effectively ruled out his defensive leader.
“He’s still sore,” Rodgers said on Evans after the defeat at Stamford Bridge. “He’s unlikely for the weekend, so he’s probably played his last game.”
This will mean Leicester have at least three players out when they host Spurs, with James Justin and Harvey Barnes already sidelined until the new season.
