Leicester City handed injury blow as midfielder set to miss three months

Leicester City midfielder Dennis Praet will reportedly be ruled out for three months due to hamstring injury. The 26-year-old pulled up in the final few minutes of the FA Cup victory at Stoke, gripping his hamstring and immediately signalling to the bench after he stretched to reach a Youri Tielemans pass. After the game, head coach Brendan Rodgers said it was a suspected hamstring injury for Praet, while Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that he has torn the muscle and is set for three months on the sidelines. The severity of Praet’s injury will be confirmed by Rodgers in his press conference on Thursday, but it could be the third serious hamstring injury City have suffered this season, with Timothy Castagne and Daniel Amartey both missing two months of action between October and December. Praet had started 14 of Foxes' 25 fixtures across all competitions this season, having played a number of roles, including as a number 10, as an inverted right winger, and as a deeper midfield player.
