Leicester City to chase a Jamie Vardy-like player

Leicester City are reportedly scouting Lazio midfielder, Manuel Lazzari. According to Tutto Calcio, the Foxes’ scouts were present at Lazio’s recent Europa League fixture with Celtic at Parkhead. They were also eyeing Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer. Lazzari opened the score in the 40th minute but Lazio ended up losing 2-1 to Celtic. The 25-year-old’s career path is similar to Jamie Vardy’s which is something Leicester fans would love. Vardy have endured a hard career path at Stocksbridge and later at Halifax Town before joining the Foxes in 2012. Since he has become a Premier League champion and England international. Alike to Vardy, Lazzari also started his career in Italy’s lower leagues and later has become a key player of the SPAL that had risen from Italy’s lower leagues into Serie A. His big career move was during this summer transfer window when he joined Lazio for around €10 million.
