Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers provides lates injury updates ahead of Manchester City showdown

Manchester City are set to face Leicester City on Saturday, September 11, as the Premier League resumes after the international break. And ahead of the clash the Foxes head coach Brendan Rodgers provided latest injury updates, revealing that James Justin and Wesley Fofana are the only players unavailable this weekend. While Jonny Evans and Jannik Vestergaard are ‘progressing very, very well’.
"We have most of our players back available now," Rodgers said.   "Obviously, some are still short on fitness but the likes of JJ (Justin) and Wesley Fofana are the only two that are out at the moment in terms of fitness-wise.   "Ryan Bertrand will be back and available and Jonny Evans and Jannik Vestergaard are progressing very, very well so we’ve had a good international break in terms of getting players increasing their fitness levels.   "So hopefully all those players should be fit and available."
Asked specifically for an update on the condition of Evans and Vestergaard, Leicester boss replied:
"That’s what we have to assess in this last 24 hours.   "We had a training game last week that both of them played in. They came through that. They’re not going to be 100 per cent.   "We only have three substitutes so we need to be sure they’re going to last.   "They will be training more over the next couple of weeks."
