They were just two points ahead of third-placed Brentford before kick-off at Ewood Park after the Bees marched to their seventh successive win against Derby County. Albion played a 1-1 draw with the Rovers, as Filip Krovinovic and Joe Rothwell both scored for their sides. And while the Baggies will need maximum points against Fulham on Tuesday to ensure Brentford aren't afforded a way into the top two, the draw also means Leeds remain top of the table on goal difference.
