It has been reported that Paris Saint-Germain star Edison Cavani is linked with a return to Napoli.
Earlier Carlo Ancelotti said that he won’t discuss the rumors claiming Edison Cavani could return to Napoli.
“Right now there’s no point talking about the transfer market,” Ancelotti said in his Press conference ahead of the Empoli game.
“It’s all very premature, among other things we’ll have to face Cavani in four days. It would be disrespectful to talk about him, out of respect for those who are here, who are doing well and are fully satisfying me.
“Is there anyone I want? No, the desire is to coach a team that gives me emotion in a beautiful environment with a club that supports me, so I can’t ask for more. That’s what a Coach wants, and I want to maintain that for a long time.”
Cavani’s lawyer revealed that the relations between the Uruguayan and Aurelio di Laurentiis are good and he hopes to see the striker back at the Stadio San Paolo, writes Calciomercato.
“Good relations between ADL and Cavani? Yes. They have been made in the public domain and the reports are absolutely true.
“Cavani is thirty-two and what would he bring back to Naples? I speak as a fan because mine can only be an opinion dictated by this assumption. He would bring sporting, athletic value and of realizing and commitment skills.
“He is as old as Ronaldo and can still give a lot to football and play 4-5 years at a very high level.
“As a fan I hope so. Ancelotti arrived at Napoli because he wanted him at PSG? Who knows. As a fan I say it would be nice to see them together.”
