Latest Chelsea injury news and expected return dates

Chelsea return to FA Cup action this weekend as they face Championship side Hull City in the fourth round. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, suffered an injury in May, as he ruptured his Achilles’ tendon.  The player is working towards a return as soon as possible. There is still no set return date for the England international. Christian Pulisic missed Chelsea’s routine 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup third round. Frank Lampard confirmed the issue to the club’s in-house TV channel but did not specify what the injury was. "Christian Pulisic is out and he will be out for a few weeks," said Frank Lampard. Tammy Abraham seemed to injure his ankle in the game against Arsenal. After the match, Lampard was asked about the forward's condition. "I don’t know. He had a bang on his ankle, he has had ice on it. I haven’t spoken to him yet, so I can’t really update you on that," he said. Reece James limped off the pitch in after 75 minutes against Newcastle. The full-back was not deemed fit enough to make the matchday squad for the game against the Gunners. Meanwhile, N'Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Willian were substituted during the Arsenal game, but those changes appear to have been for tactical reasons rather than injury-related.
