Klopp reveals why he is happy after International break, provides injury updates ahead of Spurs game

Liverpool will be looking to maintain their place at the top of the Premier League as they welcome Spurs to Anfield this weekend. Ahead of the game, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has spoken out to the press. After the international break, Liverpool boss is very happy: “It's the first time that everyone came back healthy. It's good. Since yesterday we've had them all together. Since yesterday we had them all together. The Brazilians came a bit later and did a bit less. Today another session and tomorrow another session. Let’s play the game.” The Reds boss confident Mohamed Salah has benefited, as he missed out Egypt National team’s games. "100% he's benefited, getting freshness in this period. Not only for Mo but the others who weren't involved on international duty,” Klopp said. On Tottenham Hotspur Klopp said: “These are exciting times for Tottenham, the new ground I’ve seen only pictures but looks pretty impressive. Tottenham played their last league game three weeks ago, I don’t think they’ll be thinking about feeling the defeat. We expect the strongest Tottenham you can expect. They will be a strong side. A world-class team will be here. The German specialist gave an update on the injured trio. Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Xherdan Shaqiri all trained for the first time since returning from injury yesterday. “We will see how they react,” Jurgen Klopp adds. “They needed treatment and rehab.  Joe was back yesterday after 15 weeks. What a long time! But he looked really good. He is adapting back to football training after thousands of rehab sessions. They should be okay and train again today.” However, Klopp admits they did a mistake regarding Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain: “One of the biggest mistakes was being exciting at Ox being back. That put the focus on the Derby U23s game. Now we keep him in the shadow, he will train and when he’s back properly I will speak about him then.” On having four home games and Anfield record Klopp said: “Two of them are Tottenham and Chelsea. We love playing at Anfield but we respect the opponents. They all have their own reasons to fight for points. I don't see a massive advantage. Klopp has his say on Mauricio Pochettino. “In the country of transfers, if you don’t do transfers then that’s a really big headline,” he said. “I’m sure Mauricio would have liked to have added but the players you have you can improve as well. Maybe they are better than the boy you wanted to buy. I respect their way a lot. At the end we all have to make our own decisions. They had to pay the stadium by themselves right? Nobody knows? So you have to save a little bit of money.”
