Klay Thompson breaks Steph Curry's NBA record

Warriors guard Klay Thompson set an NBA record with 14 3-pointers Monday in Golden State's 149-124 road win over the Chicago Bulls. Thompson surpassed the mark set by team-mate Steph Curry, who had 13 3-pointers on Nov. 8, 2016, against the New Orleans Pelicans. "I don't know if I would be able to break these records ... without the system, I play in or the team I'm with or the guys I play with" Thompson said. "They knew even before I went out for the second half, Steph looked at the box score and said, 'Go get it.' That just shows you the unselfishness that is within him. The same with ... everyone else that was out there on the floor trying to find me and give me good looks. "I might have forced a few bad shots, but I was so anxious because any time there's an NBA record at stake, you kind of get a little nervous. I'm just so blessed to play with the guys that I do. It was an amazing night I'll hopefully never forget."
