Kevon Looney explains why recent injury was most frustrating of career

Golden State Warriors forward Kevon Looney has spoken out on his injury. Looney has recently missed 18 straight games due to an abdominal strain but before that he was out with a neuropathic condition in his hamstring. "Had a few injuries in my career, but this one was definitely the most frustrating," Looney told Anthony Slater of The Athletic. "Because I’m coming off an injury, get hurt again. Kills your confidence. "It was hard for me. I didn’t know how long I’d be out, what the timeline is ... it got to a point where one game I played — right before the Christmas game against Houston — I couldn’t even walk that good. I could barely get out of bed." Kevon Looney finally made his return on Sunday against Cleveland Cavaliers and played 12 minutes. He also got minutes against Washington Wizards as he recorded 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 points. "I feel a lot better than when I came back the first time," Looney said. "I just didn’t really get a chance to get a rhythm. Then I got hurt again. But now, I feel a lot better, a lot quicker, a lot stronger. "I just want to get my body back right. I just want to get back to feeling like an athlete again. Didn’t get to play much in the summer because of the upper-body injury. Training camp, I couldn’t play because of my hamstring. Then the abdominal strain. "So I just want to get back to feeling like an athlete, get my confidence back in myself and my game and then have a good summer." source - nbcsports
