Keown thinks Tottenham Hotspur 29-year-old ‘stunned’ Arsenal players last night

Martin Keown believes that Arsenal players were stunned by Erik Lamela’s goal for Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby. Lamela scored one of the best goals in English football history during the Premier League game. The Argentina international found the back of the net in the 33rd minute with a ‘rabona’. Indeed, Lamela was sent off in the 76th minute and Spurs lost the North London derby 2-1. Arsenal legend Keown was impressed by the goal from Lamela. Keown said on Match of the Day 2 on BBC One: “If you see the Arsenal players, they are almost stunned because of the way he parted his legs. Brilliant piece of skill. Nice improvisation too. Brilliant.” Meanwhile, Richard Keys has launched a bizarre attack on Gareth Bale after Tottenham’s north London derby loss. Keys used his own blog to take aim at Bale, saying he’s lost all his pace and isn’t work Spurs buying him in the summer. “I’d love to know what Michael Oliver said to Stockley Park when he gave Arsenal that ridiculous penalty. One other thing was obvious from the North London derby – Gareth Bale has gone. “He’s no longer the player he was and won’t ever be again. He lost all that pace and doesn’t seem able to get around the pitch anymore. Yes, he’s still got a raking pass in him. Yes, he’ll nick the odd goal – but he’s a liability defensively. If I’m Spurs I’m not wasting money making his move permanent.”
