Kelechi Iheanacho makes hilarious joke over 'fuming' Patson Daka after Millwall win

Kelechi Iheanacho has promised he will set up Patson Daka the next time they play together after the Nigerian ignored his strike partner in Leicester City’s 2-0 win over Millwall. Iheanacho netted a brilliant rocket goal for the Foxes two minutes from time at The Den to seal the club’s passage to the Carabao Cup fourth round. The 24-year-old bundled past his man then hammered a shot into the top corner, going alone despite Daka busting a gut to get forward with him, the Zambian free at the back post. After the game, Iheanacho joked that Daka, who is still looking for his first Leicester goal, won’t have been happy if he’d blown the chance.
“It was a sweet goal,” Iheanacho told LCFC TV. “It was a rocket. I’m happy with that. It was a team effort and we’re happy going into the next round. We put the work in and we defended really well in the last 10 minutes.   “I’m happy with the goal and looking forward to the next round.   “I didn’t see him (Daka) really. If I saw him I would have passed it to him. I think he will be happy with the goal. If I missed that one, I think he would be fuming! Anyway, next time I will pass to Patson."

“It was a really tough game (against Millwall)," Foxes striker added. "They are a good side. They gave us a game. It wasn’t easy in the first half, but in the second half the spaces were there so we got our chances.   “Hopefully we won’t get a cold night against Brighton again, but I’m looking forward to it. They are really good this season. Hopefully we’ll give them a game and get through.   “It’s a fantastic competition, hopefully we’ll get a chance to win games and get through to the end.”
