World No.8 Karolina Pliskova has been ruled by the Czech Republic team in the Fed Cup final against the defending champion the United States next weekend due to calf muscle and wrist injuries.
Pliskova was replaced by rookie Barbora Krejcikova.
Pliskova has played 18 Fed Cup ties so far since 2015 and she won 14 matches, looking to lead the Czech Republic together with Petra Kvitova in 2019 again.
Two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova and Barbora Strycova are also on the team for the final on an indoor hard court in Prague from Nov. 10-11.
