Andreas Christensen missed the 4-1 win over Crystal Palace due to a knock and could not return in time to face Porto earlier this week. The defender was named as a substitute, likely for emergency cover, but did not feature. The fact that he was considered fit enough to be on the bench suggests he will return on Saturday. Mateo Kovacic missed the Porto clash, as he suffered a late injury during training. “Yeah, we had an injury yesterday which was very sad yesterday in training, so Kova is out," Thomas Tuchel told BT Sport before the game. Whether he returns for the FA Cup clash will be known in Tuchel's press conference. N'Golo Kante went on to play a full 90 minutes against Porto, adding to his substitute appearance against Crystal Palace, so he will be fit to play Manchester City this weekend.
