Kalvin Phillips shares a heartfelt message following England's EURO 2020 defeat

  Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips has taken to social media to send a message following England's EURO 2020 final defeat against Italy. The Three Lions suffered a 3-2 on penalties defeat to Italy on July 11 after the game ended in a 1-1 draw. Phillips, who played overall 665 minutes for Gareth Southgate's side and provided one assist, wrote on Twitter: "We gave it our all. In the end it wasn’t meant to be but I’m incredibly proud of this team. "Thank you to all the staff, my teammates and, most importantly, our fans, for their amazing support. It was an honour to have played for you over the past few weeks. We’ll be back."
