Kai Havertz has contacted two Chelsea players for information ahead of expected transfer

Kai Havertz has spoken with Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger ahead of his potential transfer to Chelsea this summer. He has supposedly contacted his international team-mates for information about his prospective new club as the Blues look to agree a £72million transfer fee with Bayer Leverkusen. Chelsea are preparing for a squad overhaul this summer and have already made their first moves with the signings of Werner and Hakim Ziyech before the transfer window even opened. The Blues have turned their attention to Havertz, with the Bayer Leverkusen ace having attracted plenty of interest from around Europe after 17 goals and nine assists in 43 appearances across all competitions this term. Havertz is said to have been convinced by Frank Lampard's vision for the future at Stamford Bridge, while Football.London claim two Chelsea players have also had a hand in setting up the deal. Werner and Rudiger both reportedly spoke to their international team-mate to provide their opinion on a switch and give Havertz an indication of what to expect with the Blues. Source: Chelsea
