Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri has revealed captain Giorgio Chiellini is near to his return after a long-term absence.
The 35-year-old has played in just one game this season, scoring the winning goal against Parma. Later he didn't feature for the Serie A club games due to his serious knee injury.
Chiellini was believed to be out of the game till the end of the season.
However, speaking on his pre-match press conference on Friday, Sarri confirmed the defender is close to his comeback after successful ACL surgery.
He said:
"We are on schedule after his surgery, at the moment he is training with the group. He is important for us, as far as playing in games is concerned, I think we will have to take it on a day-by-day basis and listen to him."
Juventus are leading the Serie A table with 3 points ahead of Inter Milan. They will face their next rivals, Verona, tomorrow.
