Jurgen Klopp slams Premier League over Man City treatment

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has slammed Premier League over Manchester City's full fixture list. City made the trip to London on Saturday afternoon to play West Ham United, under 72 hours after their Champions League victory over Porto. The 2020-21 campaign was delayed meaning there are now more fixtures to fit in before this term's conclusion. Pep Guardiola's side's clash in France with Marseille is their fourth game in just 11 days and despite his side being City's biggest rivals in recent years, the Liverpool manager has expressed his concern over how Premier League organisers are treating some of the English teams involved in Europe. Klopp told BT Sport: “I think everybody would agree that if you play Tuesday night, you can play the Saturday 12:30pm game, but somehow the Premier League never realises that. They always put in the Wednesday night game, like last Saturday, Man City had to play this game - I can’t believe it. We are obviously not friends, we play against each other and fight against each other, but how is that possible? "Maybe I’m too dumb. Richard Masters and all the others have all said it before; ‘come on, that’s how it is’. They just aren’t bothered, I don’t understand why.”
