Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said that James Milner was “exceptional” against Leicester City on Sunday. The Reds celebrated a 3-0 win over the Foxes at Anfield as Jonny Evans scored an own goal while Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino also got their names on the scoresheet.
James Milner started from the first minutes and played the full 90 minutes and provided an assist for Firmino's goal. During this season, Milner has made overall 12 appearances.
Klopp told
BBC Sport: “We scored three goals and didn’t concede one, we defended exceptionally well, controlled the game, there were a lot of good things, I can’t pick one that pleased me most – maybe the performance of James Milner at right back.
"He played an exceptional game, first there and then in midfield.”
