Jurgen Klopp reveals the Premier League scenario that 'really worried' him

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he was "really worried" the Reds would be denied Premier League title after suggestions that the season could have been declared null and void. Though the season is set to return on June 17th after three-months suspension due to coronavirus pandemic, there were suggestions that the season should be voided. "I’m not sure you can say we’re in control of it because I don’t think we are but we control as much as we can," Klopp told Premier League Productions. "That’s pretty much what life is, we always have an idea of control. We never have it really. "We always have to deal with different scenarios but the only scenario that really worried me was the null and void scenario because for me that would have been not fair. "Since that was off the table i thought : ‘Okay, if they do it points per game and we can’t play anymore we can still be champions’ but to be honest we want to play desperately. "It’s not only because we can be champions, there’s so many reasons. If we don’t play now we don’t know when we can start again. life will be different for a while, so we have to used to that. "You [presenter] can’s stop doing your job just because you can’t go to a studio, you do it from home because that’s what you need in this moment. we can’t do it all the time from home so we do it from a safe environment for the players and for the staff but not for the fans at this moment." Liverpool return in action on June 21 with a game against Everton. The Reds are currently leading the league table with 25-points ahead of second-placed Manchester City, who have played one game less. source - Metro
