Jurgen Klopp responds to Timo Werner Liverpool transfer comments

Jurgen Klopp has responded to Timo Werner’s comments about a potential move to Liverpool. Timo Werner said he’s “proud” to be linked with the “best team in the world” Liverpool. Werner has long been linked with a move to Anfield. The German has a release clause in his contract which means he can join a rival club for a fee of £51million, but an agreement must be reached before Leipzig’s deadline in Apri. Asked about the 23-year-old's comments, Klopp told Sky Sports: “It's like always, we have nothing to say about it really. But I prefer that when players speak about us they are positive rather than saying, 'That is the last club that I would ever go to!'. “So from that point of view it's obviously nice but that's all, there is nothing else to say.”  Source: Liverpool ECHO Join us on Telegram!
