Jurgen Klopp responds to RB Leipzig interest in Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones

Ralf Rangnick believes his friend Jurgen Klopp will not send Liverpool youngster Curtis Jones amid the transfer interest from RB Leipzig. The 19-year-old has been linked with the move to the Bundesliga side for the summer transfer window. However, Rangnick believes Reds boss won't let the young talent leave the club on loan as he wants him to continue his development at Anfield. "I know that they ( Liverpool ) don't (want to send him out on loan), because I was asking Jurgen about Curtis two years ago, if they would send him to Leipzig on loan for a year or two, and he said no," the German told The Football Show on Sky Sports. "Jurgen wants to keep him. I think he knows what kind of massive talent he has with Curtis in his squad. "He's one of the most exciting young players in England, currently. "Of course, for him, the problem is he has so many top players ahead of him. The good thing is that most of those homegrown Liverpudlian young players, they don't want to leave. "Not only do they not want to leave England, they also don't want to leave Liverpool. "I think it will be important that he has the patience but, on the other hand, gets enough game time this season and next season, because I think if he doesn't play regularly in the next two years, it will be difficult to accelerate his development. "In him, I see one of the most exciting players and it will be very interesting to see what happens with him in the next one or two years." Jones impressed during Liverpool's 7-2 win over Lincoln City in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Thursday night, being included in 4 goals. After the match Klopp opened up on the player, saying: “In the first half he was really good, and at the start of the second half really good. “There is still space for improvement but everyone knows my opinion of Curtis Jones, he is an exceptional talent and we will have some fun with him I am pretty sure in the future. “Both goals were difficult, the second one the first touch was absolutely exceptional between two opponents and then he opens up and sees the opportunity and finishes it off."
