Jurgen Klopp provides update on Joe Gomez future at Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp has talked about the future of Joe Gomez at Liverpool amid speculations of a loan move. The centre-back didn't start any Premier League game this season and there have been some suggestions Gomez may sound out a loan move for the second half of the season in order to get some much-needed playing time. But speaking in a press conference ahead of his side’s game against Newcastle United, Klopp, when asked about the possibility of Gomez leaving the club during the January transfer window, ruled out the prospect of sanctioning a move. The Reds boss said:

"It was obviously not the best year for him, but that's how it goes. We are patient, and Joe is patient.   "I have no plans to give anybody on loan in the winter."
