Jurgen Klopp provides an injury update on Joel Matip ahead of Merseyside derby

Joel Matip has been sidelined since Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Manchester United in October. He underwent tests on his damaged knee on Friday. Ahead of Liverpool's game against Everton on December 4, Jurgen Klopp has provided an update on the player as well as spoke out on Fabinho and Alisson as both will be missing the Merseyside derby. “There's no update on Joel Matip's scan for now,” said Klopp. “We missed Joel long enough. “Fabinho we miss from now on because he could not play anyway (against Brighton) because of yellow cards. “Ali is one game. My man of the match is Adrian, coming on in a game like this and having that knock of the free-kick. “I want to read something about that situation. It is incredible. An ice-cold keeper getting his gloves ready and then (mimes whistle) - that is our life. Then being in the game to make two saves. “He saved our lives and I am happy for him he can play the derby.” source - Mirror
