Jurgen Klopp has provided a fitness update on Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez ahead of the European Championship. Both defenders have been out of action due to injuries for a long term, while recently there have been clips of the Dutchman running at Kirkby with no strapping on his knee that rose the talks over his possible return before the end of the season. However, speaking about the Reds duo, Klopp has confirmed they are "unlikely" to play in the European Championship. Instead, he said: "We all hope they will be ready to start pre-season with us, that's what we all hope. With Joel [Matip], it is pretty much the same."
