Jurgen Klopp provides fitness update on Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomes ahead of new season

Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomes are "desperate to play again" but there is no need to push anything. The Reds duo were out of action for a long term due to injuries, and now as they are back to first-team trainings and pre-season games, Klopp has provided another injury update ahead of the upcoming season. “I want to make it really clear, we push nothing. We just don’t. We wait a little bit," the manager said of the defenders' fitness (via Anfield Watch). "We know exactly how they feel – how they really feel and not what they tell us because they obviously are desperate to play again. It looks good.”
