Liverpool are set to start their 2021/22 Premier League campaign on Saturday, in the opener against Norwich City.
Ahead of the clash head coach Jurgen Klopp has talked to the press and was asked about the Reds' transfer business.
On finding a replacement for departed Gini Wijnaldum, Liverpool boss said:
"Gini was the most consistently available player. I loved his way of playing and how reliable he was.
"But he's not here anymore. You tell me if you would sign a midfielder, and I will think about it."
More on midfield targets Klopp added:
"You tell me which player we need. I'm really interested.
"What type of player would you like to sign?
"Should he score more goals than Gini? Should he defend better than Fabinho? Be more creative than Naby, Curtis, Ox and Harvey?"
