Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has identified his dream signing for the club. According to BILD, Klopp wants to bring in RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano. The player attracted interest from top European clubs, including Manchester United. The player joined Red Bull Salzburg in July 2015 for a fee of around €2m from French outfit Valenciennes. He made 23 appearances for Salzburg before his move to RB Leipzig in January 2017 for a fee in the region of €10m. The defender has already managed to make 139 senior appearances for the German side. He made 28 league appearances as his side finished third in the Bundesliga. Liverpool have suffered a lot of bad luck in terms of injuries this season. Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip have all been ruled out for the rest of the campaign. BILD have reported that Klopp considers Upamecano to be a “dream signing” for Liverpool.
