Jurgen Klopp explains the tactical change that saw Liverpool demolish Watford

Liverpool ran out 5- 0 winners at Anfield on Wednesday night to retain top spot in the Premier League. Jurgen Klopp sprung a surprise and now explains the tactical change that saw the Reds demolish Watford. Rather than playing Divock Origi as the focal point of his side’s attack, Klopp elected to use the Belgian from the left wing in a 4-3-3 formation. With Mohamed Salah operating on the Right, that Meant Sadio Mane playing through the middle and that decision paid dividends, as Mane has scored two goals against Watford. "It was the first idea, the first thought and we didn’t change,” said the Reds boss. “You need in that position someone who can play in small spaces, who can give you offers in behind, who adapt to the defensive situation. “We have other players who can play that but not with the speed of Sadio. Sadio played different situations in his life and for us as well. I was in no doubt that he will play well.”
