Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is confident his side will fight with all their might to win the Champions League title this season but the German admits they are not as dominant as Real Madrid.
Last season the Reds reached the final of the competition and lost to Real Madrid 3-1. While Real Madrid left the tournament from the last-16 stage this year, thanks to Ajax, Liverpool continue their race.
The Reds will now play FC Porto in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
Klopp stated that his team will try its best to win the title this season: “This is our second year [back] in the Champions League, not year number 12 or whatever. We are not Real Madrid who have won it the last three times. We like the competition and we will try everything to win the game.”
When asked about whether James Milner and Jordan Henderson will start against FC Porto (Via Express), Klopp answered: “We'll see. We have to recover now and then we will make the line-up for Porto. We are very ambitious. We will try everything. It's at Anfield, it's a quarter-final, it's a big one for us.”
The game against FC Porto will kick off on Tuesday, April 9.
