Journalist provides update on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's future at Manchester United amid contract situation

Journalist Dean Jones has provided an update on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's future at Manchester United amid the contract situation. The Red Devils are sitting in 2nd place in the league table, 14 points behind the leaders Manchester City. Despite the huge gap between the two sides, it is believed that the United board are attempting to extend the Norwegian boss' current contract, which is set to expire next summer “I don’t think it will be an issue. No, I mean, look, this guy’s had his job on the line more times than anybody else in football, it feels like but United are still completely confident in him very happy with the way the season’s gone," said Jones when speaking about the manager's future at Old Trafford. “I think that he’s also very good at keeping a clear head, he doesn’t get too carried away when things are going well. But equally when there are bad results. He’s very good at making sure that it doesn’t matter too much. “So there’s a foundation there. There’s potentially one of the most exciting attacking fours in the game in terms of, you know, those four that they put out there Fernandes, Rashford, Greenwood and then whoever else you put in front of Cavani right now, but they’ll obviously sign a new striker in the summer, I think. But yeah, Solskjaer’s going to get a raise. He’s going to get an extended contract and everybody at United is very happy with him.”
