Journalist provides update on Manchester United's transfer plans for summer

Ian McGarry has revealed Manchester United are planning to go for a "prominent striker" this summer. The Red Devils are currently sitting in 2nd place in the Premier League table, however, they will be looking to improve the squad for the next season in order to fight for trophies. And as the summer transfer window is nearing, McGarry has provided a transfer update, speaking on the recent episode of the Transfer Window podcast. “They’ve got a manager at the moment who they’re backing, who wants improvements at centre-forward, who would like to bring Erling Haaland to the club," he said. “I understand that he’s been told that there will be a bid for, a big bid made for a prominent striker this summer.”
