The Athletic journalist David Ornstein has given an update on Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey's transfer situation amid Manchester City links.
Bailey has made 22 appearances this term, scoring 5 goals and providing 3 assists for his side. He has been linked with Pep Guardiola's side for the summer transfer window.
And, speaking about the player, Ornstein has revealed that Leverkusen would be open to set more reasonable price tag on the player due to the coronavirus outbreak crisis. He would cost €20-€30 million (£18.1-£27.1 million) instead of €50 million (£45.2 million).
He said:
"Leverkusen would be open to selling at a suitable price and The Athletic understands that talks are scheduled between the club, Bailey and his representatives this week to establish clarity."
In this case, City will likely to be interested in signing Bailey as the replacement for Leroy Sane, who currently joined Germany champions, Bayern Munich.
