Josep Maria Bartomeu provided an update on Jordi Alba amid Manchester United link

Barcelona defender Jordi Alba has been linked with a move to Manchester United and also to Serie A side Juventus. The Catalan club chief Josep Maria Bartomeu, speaking to Radio Kanal Barcelona, spoke about Jordi Alba's possible move to Premier League. “Jordi Alba’s future? He wants to stay here, we have offered him a new contract over five years and I hope that those discussions will be successful," said Bartomeu. The defender's current contract at Barcelona runs until the summer of 2020. Alba has started 32 games this season and has scored 2 goals, provided 14 assists.
