Jose Mourinho ignores Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in best player debate

Jose Mourinho has ignored Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, considering the Brazil legend Ronaldo as the greatest player he has ever seen. Mourinho used to know the Brazilian back in 1996 when he was Bobby Robson’s translator at Barcelona. Ronaldo managed to sparkle with Catalan giants, playing only one season at Camp Nou after his arrival from PSV in 1996. Next year he joined Inter Milan, however, he had already left his impression on Mourinho before leaving. Asked to pick the greatest player of all time between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, the Tottenham boss told Live Score: "I will stay with another Ronaldo, "El Fenomino". Cristiano and Leo Messi had longer races, they stayed on top every day for 15 years. But if we talk strictly about talent and ability , nobody beats the Brazilian. When I was in Barcelona with Bobby Robson, I realised that he was the best player I had ever seen in my life. ‘The injuries killed a career that could have been even more incredible , but the talent that the 19-year-old had was something incredible."
