Jose Mourinho delivers Romelu Lukaku injury update ahead of Manchester City clash

Jose Mourinho is hopeful that Romelu Lukaku will be available for Manchester United’s clash with rivals Manchester City. The striker has returned to training after suffering a hamstring injury last week due to which he missed United’s wins over Bournemouth and Juventus. But now Mourinho is hopeful that Lukaku will be fit though he is still in his rehabilitation process. ‘No new injures. So from Juventus we don’t bring important injuries,’ he told MUTV. ‘We have touches but I don’t think any player that was available for Juventus will be out. ‘We have a chance – It is Friday morning now – that Lukaku could be back.’ Mourinho later told reporters: ‘He [Lukaku] was training with the team this morning. If the answer is positive… ‘We have one more session tomorrow. If the answer is positive then he is ready but at the moment he only trains with the team.’ Alexis Sanchez  also sustained minor thigh problem against Juventus but he will most likely fit for the match with United bitter rival.
