Jorginho's reaction to being stripped of Chelsea penalty duties after Timo Werner takes over

Frank Lampard has revealed Jorginho’s reaction to being stripped of Chelsea penalty duties. The Italian had to make way for Timo Werner on the penalty spot during the Blues’ 3-0 win over Rennes in their third Champions League game of the season. His first strike came after just 10 minutes, being tripped on the edge of the box by Dalbert before smashing into the bottom-left corner. It means the German is on three penalties for the season, adding to a total of seven for the campaign. The manager has explained that the Italian did not take it to heart when he was taken off spot-kick duties for the Rennes win. Speaking to BT Sport after the game, Lampard said: “Not an easy decision because Jorginho has been pretty faultless for us. It’s hard from me “He’s missed two recently, Timo came in and scored one in our last game. I had a conversation with Jorginho and his answer was perfect from a professional, he doesn’t care who takes them he just wants to score, that’s how he approaches it. Timo takes them tonight, Timo is the taker at the moment and he took them very emphatically, so I’m happy.”
