Chelsea star Jorginho has set a new Premier League record for the most passes made in one Premier League season without recording a single assist.
After last night’s 2-0 win over Tottenham, Jorginho has made 2,332 passes from his deep-lying spot on the field.
That’s over 100 more than the next in line, Swansea’s Leon Britton during the 2011-12 campaign.
While Birmingham’s Barry Ferguson recorded 2,168 passes during the 2009-10 season.
Chelsea abandoned possession to record just a 46.6 per cent share of the ball.
