Jonny Evans sends warning message after Norwich City defeat

Leicester City defender Jonny Evans has sent a warning message, following the club's 1 - 0 defeat to Norwich City on Friday. The Foxes are enjoying the season under Brendan Rodgers, sitting on the 3rd place of the Premier League table. The club remain among the favorites to finish in a top-four, that will secure their place in the Champions League. However, Evans thinks the things may change quickly if City do not improve. Asked about Champions League qualification after Norwich City clash, he said: "There is always that risk. Football can change quickly. It is up to us to turn it around. We have to go away, regroup, analyse the game and see where we can improve. We didn’t play well really. It was going to be a one-goal game and Norwich got the goal. It was scrappy and whoever got the goal was going to win it.There was the chance for us to capitalise [in the first half], but we didn’t. We made it difficult for ourselves because we were pushing for the win and left ourselves in a position that allowed them to get that goal, and then they defended well. They made it difficult for us." City have netted first at Carrow Road, however, Kelechi Iheanacho’s goal was disallowed due to the handball following a VAR review. Evans thinks their side can not rely on technology in order to improve their form. "We can’t be looking at VAR decisions. I think it is the overall performance and how we apply ourselves in the game. We weren’t good enough. It is as simple as that. It is the rule and we were told at the start of the season. We knew if it hit his hand it would be disallowed. It is one of those things. We had one at the start of the season against Wolves in a similar situation and it has been a consistent thing that has been brought in, so we deal with it," he added.
