Wednesday marked the two-year anniversary since 22 people were killed on May 22, 2017, at the Manchester Arena at the end of an Ariana Grande concert.
A minute’s silence was held at 2:30pm across the city. Grande posted a bee emoji to her Instagram story as the worker bee has become the symbol of Manchester.
But Jesse Lingard added the ‘JLingz’ branding just below a picture of a bee and the message, ‘love may tear us apart but hate never will’.
The post was slammed and criticized by fans on social media and here's the selection of tweets hat may interest you.
