Jesse Lingard has sent a sweet message to England after Thursday’s 5-0 win over San Marino.
James Ward-Prowse, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Raheem Sterling and Ollie Watkins all netted for the Three Lions victory.
Lingard, who’s currently on loan at West Ham, has been called up to the Three Lions’ squad for the first time since 2019.
The 28-year-old started the game against San Marino and even provided an assist. After the game the Manchester United loanee took to his Twitter to share his emotions.
He wrote: “To be able to wear this shirt again means the world to me! It’s been a long journey back but makes this moment even sweeter!!”
