Jesse Lingard to leave Manchester United? The player speaks out on his future

Jesse Lingard refuses to give any comments regarding his Manchester United future. The England international has a deal with the Red Devils until 2021, with the option for a further 12 months. Manchester United already signed a new deal with Marcus Rashford and there have been suggestions that fresh terms could be offered to Lingard. Lingard has made just 20 appearances for the Red Devils, this season so far has scored and assisted only once. The England international has sought to swerve talk of putting pen to paper. He told The Independent: “I’ve been at United so long, it’s like a family. It’s such a tight-knit group, from the fans to the staff, everyone’s so close and together. Who knows what will happen in the future but at the moment I’m enjoying my football.”  United will take in a meeting with AZ Alkmaar on Thursday; however, Lingard will miss the game with a hamstring injury.
