Liverpool will be without three of their key players in January as Naby Keita, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah will be on international duty for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Reds' trio plays an important role in Jurgen Klopp's side, while Salah is currently shining both in the Premier League and in Europe. He has already recorded 15 and six assists for his side this season, so his absence could impact the club's game.
However, Jay-Jay Okocha believes that Liverpool will manage to overcome the difficulties and fight for the Premier League title this season. They just need one thing on their way to win the domestic competition again.
“Well, I think you can always put that into consideration, but I think they have a big squad,” Okocha told
Ally McCoist and Gabriel Agbonlahor on their Talksport breakfast program.
“They must have done their homework, putting Africa Nations Cup into consideration. And then South American Cups comes up in the summer, which deprives some players of their holidays.
“I think it’s all about how you manage your squad and whoever manages better in January, I think, stands a very good chance of winning the title.”
