Jamie Carragher says two Edu signings at Arsenal have been "just stupid'

Jamie Carragher has questioned Edu’s signings of David Luiz and Willian at Arsenal, claiming the signings weren’t only poor, but also stupid. Both Luiz and Willian have joined the Gunners from Chelsea being over 30. “When you’re talking about Edu as the Sporting Director, you’re bringing David Luiz in and Willian in, rejects from Chelsea. I’m scratching my head thinking I can’t get behind that, it doesn’t work.” Carragher said on The Overlap. “Why are you buying rejects from Chelsea over 30? Giving them big deals where you can’t get rid of them, that’s a mistake, that’s a mistake before it’s happened, it’s just stupid. It is stupid, David Luiz has gone for nothing, Willian will go for nothing.”
