Jamie Carragher hits back at Patrice Evra over Cristiano Ronaldo comments

Jamie Carragher has hit back Patrice Evra over Cristiano Ronaldo comments. Earlier the former Liverpool man rated the Red Devil's Premier League title win chances following the Portuguese star's transfer to Old Trafford. "You finish second and sign Ronaldo at 36 - you're not going to win the League in four years. If you sign someone at 36 it's to win right now," Carragher stated, before asking: "Are they any closer to winning the league?" Evra was not happy with his fellow pundit's comments and reacted on Amazon Prime, saying: "There's a lot of talk about this player and I really don't understand it.

"Some player like Jamie Carragher, he had 775 games, today Cristiano scored 801 goals. And those kind of people talk about Cristiano.

"Sometimes I just think people have to stay in their lane and I don't understand that hate."

United faced a 1 - 0 defeat to Wolves on Monday, with Ronaldo being the captain of the team. After the match, Carragher couldn't help but bite back at Evra on Twitter. He wrote: "Getting back out of my lane!"
