Jamie Carragher has opened up on Liverpool's start of the season, claiming they are a "million miles" away from Manchester City right at this stage.
The Reds faced their first defeat of 2022 last night, with Manchester United celebrating a 2 - 1 win over Jurgen Klopp's team.
Liverpool now have two draws and one loss in the Premier League 2022/23 season so far. On the contrary, the rivals Manchester City are enjoying the season and have shown their potential of winning trophies this season.
“Even at this stage, the points gap feels big, with the quality of Man City," Carragher told Sky Sports when speaking about Liverpool's situation
"You just don’t expect a really poor start from this Liverpool team – they set such high standards but they’re a million miles from them. They have to fix it quickly," he added.
After Monday's defeat, Liverpool are sitting in 16th place in the Premier League table. Their next opponents will be Bournemouth on August 27.
