Jamie Carragher couldn’t believe Jurgen Klopp didn’t make a half-time change for Liverpool vs Arsenal.
The Reds played out a 0-0 draw in the EFL Cup semi-final on Thursday.
Arsenal were down to 10 men after Granit Xhaka’s foul at Diogo Jota. However, Liverpool couldn’t take the advantage.
With Curtis Jones on the bench, it seemed a strange move to play so long against 10 men without a change. Jamie Carragher, certainly, can’t understand it.
“I was convinced Jurgen Klopp would make a change [at half time],” he told Sky Sports after the game. “I can’t believe Liverpool came out with the same XI.
“Arsenal are down to 10 men, you’ve got a very workman-link midfield. I think the first substitution, James Milner comes off on the hour. That had to be made at half-time.”
